Okay, tell me if you've heard this one before. You go to college, your trusted advisors and the financial aid office tell you to go ahead and live off of your student loan money so that you can focus on being a good student. They tell you, after you graduate, you'll be able to get such a wonderful job that paying the money back won't be a problem. Then, you get your little piece of paper, saying that you iz an educated individual with a 3.8 GPA, only to find that there are no jobs available that will even pay you enough to afford daycare. And, even if you qualify for deferment on your loans, the interest just keeps stacking up until you're in a hopeless pile of unbankruptable debt.
Should I have fallen for this "trick," as it were? No. I should have been smarter, but I was young and put my faith into the college system, believed in the wrong people (fyi, never trust someone who makes money from your ability to attend their university), and I, like many Americans, am now screwed.
I was making some money at youtube.com/meganvlog (now blip.tv/meganvlog), but AdSense disabled my account for no reason, as they stated "no cash for you." 'Twas a very sad day...
Short of pan handling on the streets (hey, I'm not a grifter yet, YAY!), I am looking for any possible way that I can find to earn extra revenue to pay back my student loan debt as quickly as possible. But, my goal is to make money, not work part time at a fast food place and have to pay my entire check, plus $3 an hour extra, to the daycare. That kind of defeats the point of working a waged job in the first place, don't you think? I'd personally prefer not to go into the hole any mo
